From our files. Ujjwal Basnet from Dhading (BE Civil, 79%) had a strong profile and Rs 15 lakh for the first year. We searched by budget first, then by field, and Hasselt came out on top: low Flemish tuition kept him inside his budget for an MSc in Transportation Sciences. His sponsor’s documents were rebuilt to match Belgian requirements line by line.
The hidden costs
- The New Delhi trip: travel, a few nights’ stay, and the risk of a second trip if a document is missing.
- Medical and police certificates: small fees, but they take time.
- Legalisation or translations if asked.
- Rent deposit: often up to two or three months.
